1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the ExpensePilot mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
ExpensePilot is a mobile application designed to help users track and manage their personal expenses. The App provides features including but not limited to receipt scanning, expense categorization, budget tracking, and financial reporting.
3. User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features of the App, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information during registration
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or other harmful content
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
5. Subscription and Payment Terms
ExpensePilot offers both free and paid subscription services:
- Free Version: Basic expense tracking features with limitations
- Pro Subscription: Available as weekly ($5.99) or yearly ($29.99) plans
- Free Trial: New users receive a 1-week free trial of Pro features
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Refunds: Managed through the App Store according to Apple's refund policies
6. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
All financial data is encrypted and securely stored on iCloud. We do not have access to your personal financial information.
7. Intellectual Property
The App and all content, features, and functionality are owned by ExpensePilot and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Data Backup and Loss
While we provide iCloud backup functionality, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. We are not liable for any data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to your information.
9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ExpensePilot from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where ExpensePilot is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
